"This tree is notable, has important connections to the past, and is enjoyed and appreciated by thousands of visitors each year. This tree is of tremendous value to the Citizens of San Francisco, and it is a privilege to have the opportunity to grant Landmark Tree recognition and protection. I recommend that this tree be granted Landmark Tree status."
